23 Great Post-Golden Era Simpsons Episodes That Will Restore Your Faith In Humanity

(On the eve of the "Every Simpsons Ever" marathon starting on August 21 on FXX, we take a break from our regularly-scheduled extremely-infrequent music blogging to take a look at some of Our Favorite Family's overlooked episodes.)

The Simpsons' Golden Era (roughly seasons 3-10) will go down in history as the greatest sustained run of brilliance that TV has ever, or will ever, see; you don't need me to tell you that. Instead, this below list cobbles together the best of the post-Golden Era episodes, along with (hint hint) their airdates during the Every Simpsons Ever marathon. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Set your DVRs and prove me wrong, kids. Prove me wrong. And hey, 23 episodes? That's a full season!
